Minor t-shirt making spree!
« on: 22 Aug 2006, 22:50 »

I have just made myself a Death in June shirt:

and a Sopor Aeternus & The Ensemble of Shadows shirt:

The DI6 shirt I've now cleaned up a bit with board marker, but I am still pretty chuffed with myself.

Anyone else into painting shirts?

i'm really impressed with your shirts.  what did you use to paint them?  back when i was heavily into punk i painted a jacket, but i was punk rawk about it (using that in a mocking sense) and used white out.

I used fabric paint, the logical thing for painting fabric. You iron it for five minutes and it seals to become machine washable.

i just did a tote bag, but i have yet to take pictures with it. i used fabric paint pens and this spray stuff i saw in the store and wanted to try out. i don't recommend pens if you are going to be doing a lot with them, as they run out really fast and just generally aren't worth the money (or at lest the one i bought wasn't). and this spray stuff i used came out kind of cool, but i had to watch how much i put on, because it bled, and i had to go over it a few times.

in other words, fabric paint in a tube or pot works best!

I made three shirts this past weekend.  One Tortosie shirt, one Pavement shirt, and then another random design because I couldn't think of anything else to do.  I used fabric paint, but my fabric paint didn't say you had to iron it.

Khar, those are incredible.  I wish the band shirts I've bought looked half that good.
