Thrillho:
Signs seem to point to Heartbreaker.

Thanks for that incredibly helpful contribution. *thumbs up*

Gryff:
Rock n Roll is his worst album. Heartbreaker is his best.

Slick:
Tommy I swear, the entirety of Canada is doing their best to forget about him.
You'd be wise to never mention him again, under pain of Canada somehow mustering some sort of threatening gesture in your general direction. If we thought you weren't looking.

Oh the wonderous interweb! A Ryan Adams thread. I'm a horrible Ryan Adams fanboy so here goes.

Ok, critically and probably as far as his vision from whiskeytown goes Heartbreaker is his best album. He channels Graham Parsons and the whole alt-country vibe on that one more than any other record. You really can't go wrong getting this album; every track is amazing and the duets with Emylou Harris are amazing!

I really like Jacksonville City Nights; as far as his newest work i.e. the 3 albums he released over the past year it is his best.

29 is a really good album, it's a concept album.. each song representing a different year between 20 and 30. Because of this it has a very eclectic feel to the tracks so you'll find a lot of different sounds and probably some stuff to love here.

One of my personal favorites is Gold; I'm not sure what it is about this album but I just really dig it. The critics screamed it was a half hearted Heartbreaker but I think there are some really enjoyable tracks on here.

Rock n' Roll was the first album I ever got by him. It still holds a special place in my heart and I really do dig the album but it doesn't get turned as much as the ones mentioned above.

Honorable mentions for Cold Roses.. the third of the past years releases (Jacksonville City Nights and 29 being the other two) is good as well. I really can't say that any of his albums have been terrible per se.
I think one of the only other solo albums I haven't mentioned is Demolition.. it has some really, really good tracks on it but I  think overall it's a bit weak.
