Interesting that you learned a song that's in 6/8 time as your first track.

Yeah.. when I was first starting, I didn't know much about written music, but the recording sounded simple enough to me.  It's actually a pretty easy to play if you ignore the time. [Which is not always such a good thing to do...]

Thrillho:
To be fair, The Blue Album has about one drum beat on it for forty minutes, excluding the two in 6/8, which also have the beat as each other.

It works, though. Nice and minimalist.

On bass, I first learned addicted by simple plan. yes i know that this is the worst song ever made, but i was in 6th grade and i had dreadful taste in music. on guitar, i learned a favor house atlantic first, though i'm not very good at guitar.

EmoThreads:
The first song I learned on guitar was "Smoke on the Water" on bass, it was some Charles Mingus song.

oscard:
"New Path's to Helicon pt.2" - Mogwai or "Dont Forget me' - RHCP or "Life and Limb" - Fugazi. I forget which came first, but it was one of those.

Second song "Memorial" - Explosions
