Flaming Lips- should I go?

Hey, there's a Flaming Lips concert tomorrow night and I'm trying to decide whether or not to go.  They're playing with Magic Numbers and Sonic Youth, so thats definitely a plus.  The only problem I'm having is that I don't know ANYONE who likes indie, so I'd be going alone.  I'm not sure I'll have any fun, and I've felt really uncomfortable with no one to hang out with in the past.  I know that I shouldn't miss it, but...

Do any of you know if they're good in concert?  Is it worth it to go alone?

What kind of a Lips fan are you if you've not even heard about how insanely brilliant the Lips are live? edit: This came out a lot more snide than was my intention. The general consensus among everyone is that the Lips are great live.

I don't even like them that much and I know that they're one of the best, most eccentric, theatrical live acts around, just going on pictures, footage and reviews.

I went to flaming lips alone.
Well technically I wasn’t alone, but all my friends had tickets and I didn’t. I had to sneak in afterwards and I couldn’t find any of them once inside.


But yeah I think you should go.

Truthfully, I'm not much of an indie fanboy, I dun know anyone who is into it, but I dig most of what I hear.
