Oh man, that's like my favorite Savatage song. They better not have fucked it up.

Umn, It's originally by Edvard Grieg...
And it is an astounding version. Fucking insane live. So much so that it kinda killed the album version for me. Live they have the crowd clap along, when they build up the speed, and then it just goes insane, and you've got one guy rolling around on the floor with his arm moving the bow so fast its crawling him across the stage, another guy all stood like Abbath from Immortal headbanging like a maniac and thumping his cello spike to start the clapping, another guy standing on top of the fucking drum kit with the spike on a cymbal with his hands like blurs, the other sitting on the oaken throne from which he never moved, which somehow made the whole thing better. Oh, and, like, a hundred random metalheads, rivetheads, and general rockers smashing along to it in the pit. To goddamn classical music. It was beautiful. They really have made their own sound and experience since, essentially, starting off as the first 'String Quartet tribute to...'. Though I must say they still do an orgasmic version of Master of Puppets.
I mean, Beyond Time was probably the first song I ever heard that I could safely describe as beautiful.
KharBevNor:
Yay! Who's playing Dornenreich?
We can easily keep this up, and organised, much more than on these evenings. I think we've proved that, so long as we have a schedule, we do in fact need very little supervision. I'd love a late night show at some point, my sleeping schedule fits with it, and it's the time most of my music collection deserves to be played.
Also, do I see that we can play mpegs? If anyone can suggest a good avi to mpeg converter (most of my stuff, and most of the best of it, is in avi.)
I can potter off some old french surrealist bollocks, a few of my impressive collection of fundamentalist anti-heavy metal documentaries, lighten the mood with some 1950's sex education vids, introduce you to Icelandic cinema, classic horror...the possibilities are endless!
Rather Confused:
Dornenreich was me. Tokuma didn't have much time so I was back at it after a little.
Thanks for the kind words guys.
