Thrillho:
One of the greatest double posts ever, as they came on post apart.

Of course, but that's because we're unique, isn't it? And what does that have to do with this thread?
Kai:
So this morning, I was trying to figure out what this idea reminded me of, and it just hit me
jcknbl:
Ok.
Good idea: A music discussion show with individuals who have different knowledge backgrounds and different aesthetic preferences.
Problems with the idea in the initial post:
Nobody plays emo anymore. When they did it sounded like hardcore.
Hardcore is short for hardcore punk which forces us to ask what the hell you mean by punk since they only thing the word punk signifies now days is pop-punk. Presumably you don't mean pre-hardcore punk because all those punks are OLD. And who gets excited about the latest hardcore punk release these days? All the good hardcore punk bands broke-up became post-hardcore bands. Incidently, pop-punk and post-hardcore are much better descriptors for what you probably mean by emo.
And then theres the indie kid who has to cover about 100 times more music than the other three combined since as we've said a million times indie encompassed about 800 genres.
And then you chose genres in which nothing interesting has happened in over a decade while leaving out hip-hop, electronica, metal etc.
For goodness sake, Henry Rollins listens to the Notwist.
But the core idea... that has some promise.
What if it was like Crossfire except with two rockists and two popists?
On the other hand, listening to people disagree about music is really boring.
