indie is a dumb genre name. Because it describes 90% of the music being produced today

Plus it's pretty much the only genre name that doesn't describe the music itself.

indie is used for the indie bands that people who don't use this forum actually hear about.
i don't get why need all these genre names anyway. it really looks to me like people are coming with the genre for their band before producing any music.
if i were to mix'n'match to make a new genre, it would have to be balladcore.
