Stupidest genre names

Screamo.
Stupid goddamn name saddled on some great bands. Planesmistakenforstars being the greatest.

Screamo is pretty terrible as a genre name, but there's so much music that gets lumped in that category that I love...Planes are awesome, by the way...
The worst offender when it comes to bastardization of the term "emo"* would have to be this: I have heard people refer to Circle Takes The Square as..."Extremo" WTF????

I don't know if it actually exists but my friend described a band to me using the genre Monster Rock

They sold CDs in america as collections of Monster Rock.
Its like hair metal, which is a stupid but cool genre name.
