It helps if you post the direct link to the image, and not the link to, well look I don't know the jargon, just cut everything after .JPEG out of the urls.

Nah, it's to do with BBCode. Edit the links so that they end with ".jpg", i.e. chop off the "?v=0" bit and I promise you they'll work fine.

That one with the baby alligator and the turtle just lounging together is pretty insane!  I think you pick some good subjects but I'm competely untrained, so no suggestions on the technicalities.

Edit: Oops, I posted while Hat was posting... I forget the cool jargon for that.
