Inappropriate Funeral Music
The Hammered:
The first thing I thought of, for some reason, was Swans' "Beautiful Child." "All Lined Up" would be pretty bad if the deceased was murdered, come to think of it.
Also, if the deceased was called Ed, Pixies' "Ed is Dead" would work.
Edit: I totally forgot the Ramones' "Glad to See You Go." Also, if the deceased was a child, the Dead Kennedys' "I Kill Children."
Ravenbomb:
songs I want played at my funeral:
"Shortest Story" by Harry Chapin
"Tuesday's Gone" by Lynyrd Skynyrd
"Angel's Son" by Sevendust
"Mad World" by Gary Jules
"I Don't Like Mondays" by the Boomtown Rats
"Wish You Were Here" by Pink Floyd
"We'll Meet Again" by Vera Lynn
"In My Life" by Johnny Cash
nuisance:
A friend went to a funeral where 'New York, New York' was played as the casket was carried out. "Start spreading the news, I'm leaving today..."
Also heard of 'My Little Buttercup' being played.
I think 'I'm Coming Out' by Dianna Ross would be pretty odd.
Scytale:
--- Quote from: KharBevNor --- Burzum - Tomhet
--- End quote ---
If I was to depart anytime in the near future I'd want Tomhet to be played at my funeral, its a wonderfully emotional peice of music, heck the entire HLTO album would be nice. I couldn't see too many people having a problem with it either...
I suppose it is a bit depressing, very suited to a funeral though.
BeoPuppy:
Ik leef niet meer voor jou - Marco Borsato.
I don't live for you anymore ... a song about a guy who has stopped living just for his relationship and has gotten himself some new goals kicking tha bitch out .... but just that opening sentence ...
Anything by Cannibal Corpse might be fun too ... thirteen autumns and a widow by COF ... Benzin by Rammstein in case of a cremation ... The roof is on fire - the bloodhound gang ...
Stuff like that. Would make me smile.
If I wasn't, you know, dead, in a casket.
