Need Music Suggestions

Hey can anyone help me with something?

I'm working on a project that I need a good piece of music to go with.  It should be a song about a girl dealing with issues of self-worth, physical appearance, and implied abusiveness.  

If I could find a song that was the bastard child of TLC's "Unpretty" and Avril Lavigne's "Nobody's Home" that would be perfect.

Any suggestions?

Ah!  Hmmmm...  A definite possibility.  Though I'd prefer something with a little harder edge to the music.
