TVotR with Grizzly Bear

Rubby:
Grizzly Bear's second album "Yellow House" is just fantastic.
TVoTR is amazing live.
I wish I was going to that show but alas I'm broke.
Have fun.

Skittish:
I'm more excited for Grizzly Bear than TVOTR considering I've seen TVOTR and they were just "pretty good".

RallyMonkey:
I saw TVotR opening for NIN.

I was sitting about center in the first part of the stadium seating.

It really was not a good performance. I like them, and I have two of their CDs. Yet, first of all, the lighting was terrible, to the point where none of my friends believed me about some of the band members race. Secondly, all we could hear was the wall of sound.

So, we couldn't see them, and we could hear them, but nothing distinct.

I would just blame it on the venue, but NIN sounded and looked great.

So, yeah, I was dissapointed. People who had never heard of TVotR at the show went as far to say that they were terrible, but even if my only thoughts on them were from the performance, I wouldn't even go that far.

BrittanyMarie:
I can't really see them opening for NIN... that's just one wierd combo. Anyway, the show was tonight. Grizzly Bear was ADORABLE and I think the drummer made an allusion to the movie Fargo with his hat. Some chick passed out right before Knife, and I kind of felt bad because that song ruled.

TV on the Radio was a lot more laid back than I imagined. I expected more up-tempo rocking songs-keep in mind I'd only heard a few songs, including the new single, which IS super rockin'. Unfortunately the show lost a lot of appeal, as I had a "shouter" beside me. "PLAY AMBULENCE!! HEEEEEEEY! AMMMBUUUULLLLEEEENNNNCEEEEE!! hee hee I'm drunk!" The only way he could have been more annoying was if he'd shouted Freebird instead.

Johnny C:
DFA1979 opened for NIN too.

Also, the best solution for those guys are headlocks followed by noogies and capped off with punchings.
