You just say "Oh yeah, I have a webcomic, it's on the internet an' stuff, no big deal." and they are like butter in your hands.

Careful...  What happens if your audience grows attached to your girlfriend's alter-ego, and then the two of you break up.  You'll be forced to redraw her over and over again, or you'll be forced to get rid of a beloved character...
