Right, I admit right here and now that I'm really not all that technical when it comes to the inner workings of even some of the simple things regarding computers. Take my current situation for example....
I can't get my laptop to connect to the internet. Well, it's telling me it's connected (wireless) but I can't get any web pages up. I believe it has something to do with the IP address. I recently brought my laptop into the job I had for the last week there, where I had an IT bod' sort it so that I could get onto the server there. He said that I would still be able to connect to the internet at home, yet the evidence would suggest otherwise....
Anyone have any ideas?
I believe it's as simple as finding the IP address I need to be using from my desktop/home broadband and changing the settings on my laptop. Just not completely sure how to do so...
