Green Day = THEIVES!?!?

ImRonBurgundy?:
Yeah, it's pretty funny, though.

By the way, the power chord riff in "American Idiot" is pretty much exactly the same as the one in the Dillinger Four song "doublewhiskeycokenoice", from their 1998 album Midwestern Songs of the Americas.  And I haven't heard the song in a while, so I can't verify, but I've heard claims that "She's a Rebel" is remarkably similar to Jawbreaker's "Boxcar".

valley_parade:
Hey, they still manage to put on a good show.

Or at least did as of April, 2005.

Lines:
i think that's pretty dumb. and probably not true. i don't care for american idiot nearly as much as i do their other albums, but seriously, that's just stupid.

pat101:
That's one of the funnier things I've read on here. (referring to Tommy's comment, not the whole situation in general)

AlexAttack:
when i quickly glanced at the title of this thread i somehow thought that green day were covering ministry.
then when i opened the thread i thought they had been caught shoplifting or something.
i'm in the middle of studying for three exams that are tomorrow and my brain is kind of running on over time right now. haha.
