Jimmy the Squid:
I played violin for like 8 years. Never even got past the second grade. Also did saxophone for a year but I wasn't really that into it. I sing though, pretty well too but I am systematically destroying my vocal chords by singing in a black metal band. Woo for self destructive behavours! \m/

glisp42:
Better than what I'm doing.  I'm systematically destroying my vocal chords by smoking.

--- Quote from: Flaming Ostrich on 03 Nov 2006, 22:52 ---"Anchorless" is by Propagandhi and is off their album "Less Talk, More Rock."? Oh wait, the Weakerthans do have a song called "Anchorless."? It's quite a bit longer than the Propagandhi one.? Funny, I wonder if it's the same song extended and tweaked to the Weakerthans' style, because John K. Samson was still in Propagandhi when "Less Talk, More Rock" came out.? I'll have to do some research.

EDIT: I just found out.? The song has the same theme for both bands.? The opening lyrics are the same, but they differ in the bodies a bit.?

Yeah, I'm more familiar with The Weakerthans version.

Yeah, I just like finding connections between bands like that.  It's not quite as amazing as when I discovered Eddie Vedder singing on Bad Religion's Recipe For Hate, but it's nice.

Well i've been playing French Horn for...7 years now i think. i don't keep track. But i'm fairly good at that; i was section leader at my old school and i would have been this year but i moved schools so i couldn't try out.

i play bass, mostly jazz but i did have a hardcore/alt punk/experimental (we really weren't sure what we wanted to play) band going for about 3 months before i moved.

i'm a fairly good singer, i usually sing baritone, but occaisonally my voice will permit me to sing tenor.
