Yeah, Fahrenheit's idiotic all right, but it's (generally) how we roll here in America. Zero Fahrenheit is a little under negative twelve Celsius, for what it's worth.

Can we not turn this into a holy war thread? I'm aware that I may possibly have kicked it off, but it should have been obvious that that comment was not really meant to be taken seriously. Much. To each his or her own and all that. You know.

Also: wtf, why should temperature be based on water? It makes more sense than Fahrenheit, sure, but that's not saying all that much.
