The first was fan-fucking-tastic. I haven't played the second two, although I may just do that this summer.

Seriously, they got Sands of Time absolutely spot on because they realised that the original spirit of PoP (I'm talking the original one here) was a complete Western fantasy, bearing more resemblance to Xanadu than the Gulf. The whole telling-a-story approach was inspired, the look and feel of the game was absolutely gorgeous, the control and combat mechanics were simple yet let you do some very cool looking stuff, and Farrah had the hottest ass on a video game character ever. What's not to like?

Heheh, hopefully you'll like Warrior Within.  It's not as good as Sands of Time, but it's story is damn good.  And The Two Thrones is the perfect blend of Warrior Within and Sands of Times.  Plus the ending is spectacular!!

I got really, really, bored with the Warrior Within.  It started off weak, then kinda got interesting, then got really really dull all over again. In terms of fun, it is not as good as the Sands of Time. Nowhere in the same room, actually.  If you really liked the first game, like, really really liked it, then sure, pick it up... but you should probably play the demo first.

Haven't played the third one so judgement remains ungiven.
