So anyone can just label somebody a misogynist, and it has to be disproved? I suppose if I dug around long enough, I could come up with a quote by Zappa saying "I am not a misogynist" in response to that often-applied but never-substantiated label. But it would prove nothing. People would just say "Well of course he says that." I honestly don't understand why people just label him a misogynist, without anything to back it up.

So I can't disprove it any more than you can prove it. I guess between that and the fact that I have no idea who Billie Joe Armstrong is, I lose.

The original poster wanted to know about Zappa. I gave him some direction. I thought that was the idea here. Then someone else comes in, slanders the guy, and says everything he did was shit. How is that supposed to help? Does that contribute anything positive to the conversation? So yeah, I came down on him.

To be honest, whether or not I suck cock isn't really relevant, but I'm probably guilty of the "self-important" label. Clearly, I would not be a worthwhile contributor to this forum. Because, you know, informed answers aren't nearly as good as slander and opinions being passed off as fact.
