Hm, Within Temptation counts as a local band for me. In fact, I saw them play before they hit it big.

too lazy to post about the scores of hardcore and punk bands. Some of them are okay, but I've been drunk every time so it's probably just the whiskey hearing.

Gotta say, Johnny C, got my cities best bet covered, RahRah had me in goosebumps, it'll be great when Kyrie is back in town. I got to see her last show before she left and they totally upstaged the main act, and ended their set by bringing the entire audience up on stage.
But I still gotta give props to my flatmate's band Kinedyne, they've only been together a few months so its still amateur hour but they are easily the best hardcore/metal outfit in Regina. I mean, Indie is my first love but sometimes you just have to get out there and mosh a bit.
