Recommend me GC Games damnit!

<< < (2/6) > >>

The Hammered:
I second the MGS remake and the Pikmin games whole-heartedly.
Viewtiful Joe (Unless you have a PS2. I think that version is slightly better. I haven't played the second one, but I think it's supposed to be good.)
Super Monkey Ball 1 & 2 (Don't let the premise scare you away. I recommend getting the first one before the second one, but it's not a big deal. If you have a PS2, get Super Monkey Ball Deluxe (I think that's what it's called?) instead.)
Eternal Darkness (Not all that scary in my opinion, but still really good.)
Beyond Good & Evil (Shame it's so short, but you can get it dirt cheap. It's a pity the sequel apparently isn't going to appear, because this was a great game and I'd love to know what happens next. Also, I think the PS2/Xbox/PC versions may have slightly better graphics, but it doesn't make a big difference.)
Ikaruga (Hard, but so good, and very cheap.)

All of these are old, and shouldn't cost you a lot.

Jimmy the Squid:
Wow I didn't expect that many recommendations. Thanks guys, I shall look into the majority of them. I'm actually already down for a pre-order of Twilight Princess at the EB near my work so I can't wait for that. Luckily eBay has a whole lot of new and used games up for sale and whatnot so it shouldn't be too hard to find most of what you guys recommended.

stabauqa292:
Here are Sarcasmorator's suggestions with reviews by me, and some other games I suggest.

--- Quote ---The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker: A great game. Good stradegies, but not too hard to figure out.

The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess: (comes out next month for GC, might be mail-order only)

Metroid Prime: I haven't played this game before, so I can't give advice to this one one.

Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes: Same as Metroid Prime. They're just not my interest.

Pikmin/Pikmin 2: An odd, but very fun game. Even if you have beat the game. It's fun to go back and just kill your men. (but watch out for alien cruelity rights)

Super Smash Bros. Melee: I still play this game it is so amazing. I'd suggest going to Google Video or YouTube and searching for "Super Smash Advanced Techniques". It greatly improves your skill and increases gameplay fun.

Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door: Every Paper Mario is a fun game.

Resident Evil 4: This is a good game, but very different from any of the other RE games.

Mario Kart: Double Dash: Just like the original, but more fun. I'd suggest MarioKart DS though. (due to it's mission mode)

Skies of Arcadia Legends: An amazing game. I wish I stole it from my friend. Wait, I bet he has finished it by now. It's worth stealing.

Mario Party 6 or 7: Always fun to play minigames, but never in your whole confused andnegligible life, play a 50 round game, with four people. It takes forever and you only get the points to spend equal for one and a half 20 round games by yourself.

Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: An okay, yet slightly monotmonous game. you play the same levels several times. This is a very easy FF game. I beat it during a rental on a school week.

Legend of Zelda: Four Swords Adventures: Good game. I beat it in about three days though. There are everal minigames if you have the gameboy connector.

Fantasy Star Online 1&2: A very extensive game (this is actually two games on one disc, but whatever). It is great for single mode and multiplayer mode. You and a friend can use your character files and go through any levels that either of you have been in. An amazing RPG.

Prince of Persia 1 or 2: Very cool battle engines for this game. Its a very puzzle oriented game. You use your acrobatic skills to go through mazes. The rewind time tool is fun to just play with. Pretty easy to finish though.

Animal Crossing: Who forgot about this game? A very fun game. you just live asecong life paying off rent, fishing, and making your nieghbors mad. Better for DS, ut if you don't have one, this is not a bad one to setle for.

rasufelle:
If you can find it, I recommend the Zelda disc with the original NES titles, plus the two N64 titles.  Also, if you can get it, the Master Quest of Ocarina of Time.

Also, though a lot of people don't like golf games, I've found the GC to be the best system to play the Tiger Woods games on.  The limited graphics power of the system really doesn't hurt them as their graphics are pretty bad to begin with, but they're excellent golf games if you're into that.  Also, Mario Golf and Mario Tennis.

Blue Kitty:
I also hear that the Mario Soccer is pretty good, what with electrical fences and such surrounding the field
