dark comedies
KharBevNor:
Icelanders do this thing really well. Try Reykjavik 101 and Magnus. Also, yes, early Peter Jackson. Brain Dead is hilarious, and so is Bad Taste. My idea of physical comedy. Similiarly, Shaun of the Dead and any Troma movie ever made. Yeah, it's not quite the same as 'normal' dark comedy, but hey.

Little Miss Sunshine isn't all that new; a lot of us here have been raving about it for a while now. That being said, I STILL contend that it was an awesome movie, and as soon as I get paid again, I want to grab the DVD.
Ozymandias:
I consider Little Miss Sunshine a deep meditation on why you don't let people from New Mexico out of the state.
But that's just my New Mexican opinion.
Unfortunately, pretty much anything I can think of has already been said.
Dr. Strangelove is a great classic dark comedy, IMO. Actually, one of the only Kubrick movies I can tolerate.

So have I. Nice place but the booze is expensive.
AllBad:
I think A Bucket of Blood is hilarious, followed by...Arsenic and Old Lace, The Last Supper (pissed off my republican dad like none other), Duplex, The Trouble With Harry, and yes, Death to Smoochy.
