It's a wonder that no one watched that show...

wait... no it isn't.

And college humor now requires you to get an account to see the boobs?!?!

What is the internet coming to?

I've enjoyed Stella before but personally Upright Citizens Brigade did that kind of comedy a hell of a lot better.  Stella definitely have their moments though its just sometimes while watching it you want to fast forward through the parts where they drag the joke out way too long.

My roomate and another person from our floor are absurdly fond of this show. Sometimes it's funny, but I just don't seem to get the uh, 'genius' of the situations I guess.

My favorite thing of theirs that I've seen so far is the episode where they start a farm in their apartment complete with migrant workers and everything.

Stella was/is fucking brilliant, but so were all the other Comedy Central shows that got offed before their time. UCB and Strangers With Candy particularly.

Maybe it's just because I'm fond of my younger days, but I thought the State was funnier.

And yet Mind of Mencia is running strong.  And how long was The Man Show on?  Jesus Christ, Comedy Central pisses me off.

 EXACT-FUCKING-LY.

It's because the majority of Comedy Central's viewers are frat boys with little ambition but to chuckle at farting and racism.

This also explains why Family Guy is still on.

Amen, brother.  I loved The State, and I was tickled pink when watching that link and they made two blatant references to The State in the beginning of the Stella skit.

The only actual episode of Stella I ever saw was the one where they were farmers in their apartment and flooded the place and shite.  Don't remember the particulars, but I laughed a lot.

I remember an episode where they performed open heart surgery on their elderly German landlord and killed him, but instead of getting in trouble they found out he was a Nazi war criminal and so they were celebrated and a Holocaust memorial organization set up a fund to pay for their apartment.

That was the pilot episode, and it was great.

As far as the television series goes, my favorite episode had to be the last one, Amusement Park, where what was going to be a day at an amusement park ends up as the possibility of a lobotomy.

With the original short films, I love Pizza (linked above) Office Party, and Truth.

Also, Michael Ian Black writes the occasional magazine and internet piece. He has some stuff on McSweeney's and in Filter. Generally it's funny stuff.
