That aside, does anybody remember if Oberyn was into dudes in the books aswell? I was really surprised when I saw the new episode, because I couldn't remember that being in the books at all.

(click to show/hide)Honestly, it's the best possible outcome. Tyrion couldn't get out of another trial through combat, so Gregor had to win. At least he still died (possibly temporarily, but slowly and painfully) and confessed first.
