(click to show/hide)There are some speculations that Lady Stoneheart will appear in the show.  But instead of being Catlin Stark...its Sansa.  There is some speculation that the combining of Sansa with Jayne Poole was to make Sansa more believable with her experiences when she becomes a Lady Stoneheart like character, including taking her pseudonym.  As I know nothing about Lady Stoneheart I could not comment on that potential and wanted some book readers input.

(click to show/hide)Lady Stoneheart's single-minded purpose in the books is revenge against the Freys, Boltons, and Lannisters. Sansa is pretty capable of fulfilling that role. The only hang-up I see is that Catelyn is revived by Beric Dondarrian, the immortal Brotherhood without Banners leader that we last saw in Season 3, sacrificing himself. So far there aren't any hints that Beric or Thoros of Myr (the Lord of Light Priest who revives Beric) will return.

I am thinking she doesn't die but
(click to show/hide)Kills Ramsey and runs off with Brienne and link up with the brothers without banners.   the BwoB numbers may have swelled from people who escaped the red wedding, including the Blackfish.  Perhaps Brienne fights and kills Beric and they put Sansa in charge as Ned was the one who gave them their order and she is next in line in their eyes.  With her mistress of whispers powers they take the fight to the same enemies that the book's Stoneheart has.

Method of Madness:
A non-undead Lady Stoneheart makes no sense at all.

(click to show/hide)Most of what makes Lady Stoneheart who she is? Catelyn was dead for quite some time, not to mention decomposed, when Thoros and Beric find her. So much so that Thoros refuses to bring her back, meaning Beric has to, and we're led to believe that this is his first time trying this. With those things in mind (and the fact that Beric dies in the effort), it's important to note that while Lady Stoneheart has Catelyn's memories and body, she is not Catelyn. Also, I'm pretty sure that other than her closest allies, the only ones who knew who Lady Stoneheart used to be were the ones who died by her hand (or in front of her, at least).

(click to show/hide)1. I won't insult the human psyche by saying it's completely impossible, but so far there's nothing to indicate Sansa would do such a thing. It would be by far the most stunning personality shift seen in the show. Like  MoM said, the reason Lady Stoneheart is so bloodthirsty is that she is not Catelyn, she just remembers who killed Catelyn.

Why would Brienne fight and kill anyone in the Brotherhood, or link up with them for that matter? The only reason the Brotherhood has beef with Brienne is because Lady Stoneheart considers her a traitor for swearing an oath to Jaime.

TBH I never found Lady Stoneheart that interesting I don't mourn her absence. I am hoping for Frey pie though. Ian McNeice as Wyman Manderly, anyone?

(click to show/hide)I agree with 94, I was bummed at first but I'm not really missing her. I'm much more annoyed at the lack of Aegon.
