HBO's A Song of Ice and Fire
Method of Madness:
(click to show/hide)Hodor and Summer? God damn it :'(
Also I wasn't expecting Euron to outright admit to killing Balon. Also, where's the horn?
And holy shit, has Hodor been seeing his death his whole life?
Edit: Hahaha, holy shit, this article from two years ago.
--- Quote ---Around the third time we were on the elevator together, he pushed the button for our floor and then asked the others what floors they needed, and then after everyone left, he turned to me.
Martin: I always wanted to be an elevator operator. If the writing thing hadn’t worked out…
We both laughed and went on to our rooms.
The final time we ended up together, the conversation went like this:
Me: I finally figured out why you have a character named “Hodor.”
Martin: Oh?
Me: I was thinking about your comment about wanting to be an elevator operator. It’s clear to me now that “Hodor” is short for “Hold the door.”
Martin: (laughing) You don’t know how close to the truth you are!
--- End quote ---
dexeron:
Lol, that article is great.
(click to show/hide)Hodor no!
I thought the Euron bit was a bit bold, but then I realized, it's really the only thing that would work with Ironborn. He paid the Iron Price. If Yara wants the throne, she has to be willing to do the same right back to him (and manage to pull it off.)
So... how many direwolves are left? Ghost and Nymeria are the only two that we know are alive, and if internet conspiracy theories are right, maybe Shaggydog (but I doubt it - if the Grand Northern Conspiracy is actually a thing, I'd wager that Rickon is being used by it, and isn't actually in on it.)
Method of Madness:
(click to show/hide)In the book, Euron was exiled by Balon and just "happens" to have returned right after Balon died. It's hinted very strongly he killed Balon or had Balon killed, but he died "offscreen", and the official cause of death as far as people know for sure is that he fell. Either way, it's made clear admitting to killing Balon would not have gone well for him.
Yayniall:
(click to show/hide)The ironborn seem to be taking kinslaying pretty lightly - I thought even for them it was pretty much reviled
Detachable Felix:
(click to show/hide)Fuuuck, Hodor.
Also fuck everyone on facebook for ruining it for me before I could watch it.
