Blood and Chocolate
ThePQ4:
I'm sure everyone has seen the ad's for this movie, but how many have actually read the book??
I've read it like...way to many times (at least...six?), so it's obviously one of my favorites. I think the movie looks like crap -they've completely warpped the entire story. I mean, Esme, Vivian's mom, isn't even it. I wanted some bitch-fights damn it! On the bright side, Olivier Martinez is playing Gabriel, so that should be OK...
Anyone else absoultely loathing this idea? The more I see the trailer (every ten minutes on TV...), the more pissed off I get about it.
(And if you don't know what I'm talking about, here's the offical website: http://www.mgm.com/bloodandchocolate/)

They only question I really have is what does the title refer to?
Or is that part of the plot?

I'll tell you before the rabid fans do (very defensively, because people are always saying that it's a dumb title because it is).
It's a "well crafted metaphor" for whether or not she is going to choose humankind (chocolate) or her werewolf pack (blood). The kisses of her paramours from each race taste like the corresponding "flavor."
It's a decent book. . .but I haven't read it recently.
I would advise against seeing the movie, because it doesn't follow the book, and was apparently so bad that it didn't recieve the author's blessing. It also takes place in italy, and the teenage protagonist is played by a thirty three year old woman.
Mnementh:
I am probably going to see this for the camp value, and I'll love every minute of it, just like I loved Underworld for its camp value (and Kate Beckinsale in tight leather leotards). This is going to be like Bloodrayne on a budget.
Man.
ampersandwitch:
At least sneak in if you're going to see it. DO NOT PAY FOR THIS PIECE OF SHIT.
Thank you.
