Ah. Right. Because of course it's not weird to anyone else that Willie Nelson, a country (and otherwise) legend would play along with the likes of, oh say...Rage Against the Machine?

...I'm just music-stupid apparently. Forget I said anything.

Er, no, in fact, it's not weird for Willie Nelson to be playing Coachella.  He's no more out of place than Manu Chao or Roky Erickson.  Willie Nelson is extremely popular with young jam-band fans and indie rockers and stoners as a folk hero.  He's nearly as popular with the young, hip set as Johnny Cash and Hank Williams Sr.

I confess, It looks amazing, but it needs Belle and Sebastian, Sufjan Stevens, Regina Spektor and Ted Leo on top of what's there to coax me to travel that far

Miss Spektor is definitely on there.

but the music sucks because the keyboards don't have the cold/mechanical sound they had but a wannabe techno sound that it's pathetic for Rammstein standars.

This alone is why I want to punch the young, hip set. They're only into his music because he made a movie with Joaquin Phoenix and Reese Witherspoon and promptly died. Makes me want to stab something, having been given this man's music along with mother's milk.
