I saw the preview. The voices scared me. The animation scared me. I think I'm going to avoid that movie while it's in theaters (at least). And I doubt there will be a ninja rap, so I don't really see how it could possibly beat the old movies.

The movie was actually pretty good.  Definitely a lot better than I expected.

BillAdama:
I liked the 80's/90's cartoon series and movies because they were pandering to kids of the time like me with the whole surfer dude thing.

I could never have nostalgia for the new incarnations of the Ninja Turtles because now they pander to the current generation of kids.

The movie was actually a pleasent surprise. I enjoyed it even though there was a lot of relationship drama.

I was pleasently surprised that it was good as well.


I too love the new series, though I never really saw to much of the old series or the comics
