Going through my music looking for something to cheer me up today and I realised that the track Alibi by the Mountain Goats (off the Babylon Springs EP) never fails to make me smile. There's just something mischeivous and very nothing's-ever-gonna-go-wrong about the lyrics and the delivery that just makes me think, 'dammit, nothing is ever gonna go wrong.'

Though the Fraggle Rock theme song, to me, is way happier and makes-me-smile-ish. Also, the old guy in the beginning is not only Doc from the show, but Doc from Boondock Saints, as well.

When the riff changes at a bout the 5 min mark, the new riff is one of the happiest sounding things I've ever heard, brings a smile to my face.

One More Time always makes me giggle. Cheesy is the best word to describe it, in the most wonderful way possible. You can't look at the album (especially the non-instrumental tracks) sternly, or else you'll write the entire thing off as crap.

On a similar note to the Daft Punk: Cut Copy. Bright Like Neon Love is just awesome disco fun. They've got a new album coming out any weeks now and the first single off that is just great. Great like leg warmers.

They're a pretty cool band.  They use an electric violin instead of a lead guitar.  It gives them this really unique sound.  I think it does anyways.

  I went through a serious Wintergreens phase a while back.  I absolutely love that song and tried forever to get my band to cover it. 
As for me, any Aquabats song always cheers me up.  Except Floating Eye.  I just don't really like it.

I really have to get a copy of Gravity Won't Get You High. I think I've heard the whole thing over several trips in a friends car and each and every time it's made me happy. And I have some great memories in and around those car trips. Despite me never owning the album or hearing it in full it's definately a major part of the soundtrack to one of the best parts of my life.
