Stacked against me

I've been playing with stacked lenses.  Since I'm shooting mostly digital these days it isn't economically crippling to experiment.   For this picture I leaned a 50mm lens against my 28-80mm zoom.

I'm looking for feedback on how to do this better. 



I'm thinking a reversing ring would be a fun gizmo to make in the lazer at work.
