I'm so jealous. I am seriously thinking about moving to Austin.

I got to see it in a completely empty theater, caught the 11:30am showing on a Wednesday because the theater canceled the showing I tried to catch the night before. I suggest that Grindhouse is either viewed with a large, rowdy crowd, or a small group, single, or up to four persons. It sells the experienced.

Beautiful Maladies:

--- Quote from: Narr on 25 Apr 2007, 06:30 ---Yeah, Machete is going to be a straight-to-DVD release.  I *believe* they are going to do something similar with the Werewolf Women of the SS thing, too.  I read a little on Wikipedia and rumors abound.

actually, Tarantino has mentioned wanting to do a classic "Kung-Fu" movie for the second double feature, entirely in Mandarin, with purposefully shitty subtitling.

I doubt that the poor box office showing will affect either of their desire to make a sequel; Rodriguez had to have made enough off of "Spy Kids" to last him the rest of his life.

Kjammer:
I saw it a couple weeks ago in a nearly empty theater.  I really enjoyed it and I hope Tarantino and Rodriguez make another Grindhouse movie.  I hope they make "Don't" and "Thanksgiving" into full feature films.

What I can't figure out is why a family brought thier 3 year-old to see this movie?

It could've been the same people bringing their young'uns to Borat. Although I think Grindhouse is a worse choice, but still. It's called a babysitter. Get one.
