Frets on Fire is Keyboard Hero for pc, linux or mac os x. That's the best way I can describe it. You have to try it for yourself, I quarantee you will enjoy it. Specially good about this is that you can play your own playlists.

I was actually going to make this thread soon.  I've had Frets on Fire for several weeks now, and I have all the Guitar Hero songs.  I have converted my old keyboard into a guitar, complete w/ duct tape strap.  This game is super fun.

I downloaded it.  But it keeps crashing on me.  Are you really supposed to hold your keyboard like that, or am I just gullible?   :?

Yes, you actually are supposed to hold your keyboard like that  :-D

I get occasional crashes too sometimes, but not all the time.

It's so much fun to play, it more than makes up for how weird you look holding your keyboard like a guitar.

Bumping this because they updated it with the OSX version for those of you who couldn't download it when this was new.

Been playing this all day, and I think I addicted. At the risk of offending people, I think it's even better than Guitar Hero, since, with the interweb at my disposal, I can actually download tracks that I enjoy listening to and attempting to play. Only annoying bit is that I struggle on medium, and most of the tracks I've downloaded can only be played on awesome. Practise is in order!

I have been practicing a bit and now can play most songs passably (3 or more stars) on Medium and several on Amazing.

I have the most fun on "Carry On Wayward Son" (Kansas).  The soloing and the unison bit with the bass are super fun.

Audacity has a built in converter.  It's really hard to add songs though, because you have to create the file for the guitar pattern.

Nevermind, I just found a site called www.keyboardsonfire.com or something like that that has a lot of songs on it already. It has the "Trogdor" song on it, which is all I really need anyway.
