That actually does piss me off. But Watterson said something to the effect of since that image was never actually in the comic, it's not licensed so they can't really do anything about it.

It ticks me off too. I just saw one today! The big one that floated around when I was younger was a Calvin look-a-like peeing on a rival school's logo (eg: "Calvin" in Ohio State gear peeing on a Michigan logo). At one point, I detested that image so much that I desired to pull together an online "militia" bent on eradicating the use of it...but then procrastination stepped into the fray.

The thing that's "wrong" to me about that picture that Calvin comes across as "bad" in it -- pissing on whatever it is that someone doesn't like. Calvin was not a bad kid. He was mischievous, not really rebellious so much as just not paying attention to authority (which is not the same as actively going against it), inquisitive, hyper, and had infinite imagination. He was definitely a challenging kid.
But he would not piss on something. Using Calvin as the symbol of taking someone down a notch like that just isn't right.
