Most Favorite Calvin and Hobbes strip

<< < (13/35) > >>

Teh Geek Lord:
Instead of singling out a single favorite strip, can I plug a favorite Calvin and Hobbes collection?  I like the Definitive Collection, but its all wonderful shit!!!

dash:
I dunno if anyone posted about it since i didn't read the whole thread, but the bit where Calvin finds the little rabbit or was it a raccoon? anyway the animal dies and he kind of has a little bit of a tough time dealing with it. I mean there are tons of funny ones out there, but this one was a little different so it kind of touched me someplace...

Orbert:
It was a bird, and I thought we'd discussed it here, but I guess I'm having imaginary repressed memories again.

Anyway, yeah, that was a good one, and as you pointed out, a bit different.  Watterson had actually found a dead bird and sketched it, which is why it's not in the regular C & H style, but he worked it into the strip so he could share it.  It was definitely interesting hearing Calvin's thoughts on the matter.

Tried searching that database on "bird" "dead" "alive" etc. with no results, but I'm positive it was a bird, because that is one of my favorites also.

AngelofShadows:
That was a Sunday strip (the bird) There was a whole arc to Calvin and Hobbes finding a wounded Raccoon baby and it dieing. It makes me sad to think about.

But not as sad as the "modernized" version of the strip. That kills a bit of my childhood and makes me angry. Stomping around in the Angry dome angry.

Anyways, just state which strip/quote/storyline that you thought was the best or funniest or ironickest (and yes, making up words is a hobby of mine)

Fixked.

Also, the best one was clearly Tyrannosaurs in F-14s.
