zerobar:
First post, but this seemed like a good place to do it. I've got some pictures I'm gonna have to put up, once I get my camera.
On a side note, I see alot of people here favoring the vintage looking guitars so I thought I'd say there was a Kramer Elliot Easton up on ebay, right now. Very cool and rare.

Oh man, speaking of Multineck guitars, the local Guitar center has a used Epiphone 1275 (the doubleneck SG) for $500. I'd have been more tempted to buy it when I started out playing a year ago (you can read of me drooling over doublenecks much earlier in this thread), but now I'm thinking more along the lines of a Fender Strat, as opposed to my Squier Strat. What do you guys think of the roadworn series? If I didn't get that, I'd probably get one of the new ones with the 'add bridge' switch. I like experimentation right now.
And when my teacher brings in that '62 strat he bought in '62, I'll see if I can't get a picture with it.
And, I imagine that the whammy on a real strat throws the guitar out of tune less than it does on a Squier, yes? Is it all in the nut?
I love this thread.

This really depends on the individual guitar and how it is set up.

That is the greatest contraption for making country, folk, bluegrass that i have ever seen.
Shame you'd need about 6 arms to play it well though.

A 7-String telecaster. I don't know what to think anymore

Actually, twangy Baritone guitars have been around in Country since forever, more or less, so the practicality of a 7-string in this context more than justifies it.
EDIT: To be honest, I'm actually kinda shocked you guys didn't see that immediately.
