Christophe:
I think it would be funny to see Jaguar or Jazzmaster electronics on a Non-Reverse Thunderbird.

Patrick:
I am pretty sure I've seen a picture of one with P-90s. Not the same thing as Jazz pickups, but aesthetically it's pretty much the same thing.

Bearer:
My comrades, I have decided on a guitar project.  The tele bass idea fell through because I failed to win the shortscale neck.  So, I'm building a telecaster styled guitar out of a lot of different parts.  It'll have a mini humbucker in the neck and a tele single coil in the bridge.  However, because of the ridiculous electronics I plan on wiring into this thing, it will have...brace yourselves...

11 separate pickup combinations!

-A 4 way switch to allow both pickups to be wired together in series as well as parallel
-a push pull to turn the humbucker into a single coil
-a push pull to throw the pickups out of phase

Also going to repaint it.  Maybe British racing green or dark teal with black pickguard

ledhendrix:
I'm borrowing my friends bass at the moment. I haven't really played it properly yet, just picked it up and mucked about with it. Where's a good place to start with a bass?

Beastmouth:

--- Quote from: Patrick on 03 Mar 2009, 13:23 ---I really really love the clean sounds I get out of bass amps. A cheap-ass solid state Fender bass amp was the only amp to ever make my nearly-forgotten Les Paul clone sound tolerable.

I should really have that guitar refretted and have the pickups replaced. The pickups sound like shit (no definition in any frequency) and the frets slice up my fingers like they're made out of katanas.

That doesn't sound like you need a refret; a crown and polish should do fine and is really pretty easy to do.
