I've yet to hear a good reason for having a single coil in the bridge position? "Hey, I want a horribly bright and quacky sound" ?
Single coils are only ever good on the neck position, although I'd prefer a humbucker there, too.

Single coil in the bridge should be a modifier pickup, used in conjunction with, say, another single coil in the neck (see telecaster) or a humbucker in the neck (see awesome telecaster).
Humbucker + Single coil = very yes!

Hey guys, I haven't posted in this thread in ages, mostly because I kind of stopped playing guitar. So, I have a question: where can I go and sell some of my gear? Since I don't really play much any more, I was thinking of getting rid of all of my electric gear (Strat, little amp, a couple pedals) and just stick with my acoustic (since that's what I play when I do play anyway). Off the top of my head, I'd say eBay for the small stuff, but what about everything else, the guitar particularly? I was thinking maybe Craigslist. I'm sure I could go to a pawnshop or Guitar Center, but I dunno how much they'd give me. I'm not looking to make a profit off anything, I just want to get close to what I paid for them.

You must not be into country. Or early rock and roll. Or Pavement. Or ANY of the music on Led Zeppelin's first album. Or anything by the Beatles past Revolver.
How much are you asking for the Strat? After I get my hollowbody this summer, I may be interested.
Catacombs:
It's a (I believe 2004) Mexican made Fender Strat. In damn good condition, $200.

--- Quote from: greenMonkey on 10 Apr 2009, 20:28 ---My friend just had his Jazzmaster pickups replaced with Lollar P90's which are made to fit the Jazzmaster pickup size. It has completely changed the tone of the guitar, made it creamier, smoother, bluesier, and it also screams with the gain cranked. I kind if want to steal it from him.

My Creston is gonna have Lollars :3
