Casting for a Discworld movie?

<< < (4/6) > >>

axerton:
Mayhap Tony Robinson for CMOTD

Men at Arms would make a great movie, as would Thud! though it would require to much backstory.

chocolate_octopus:
Film versions of all of the Rincewind stories would be unbelievably awesome but the colour of magic alone could make 2/3 films they'd take forever to make (of course if it was done well Terry Pratchett would be able to buy a solid gold house by the end)
does anything else think Jim Broadbent would be brilliant as Mustrum Ridcully?

rasufelle:
Look at all the time they've invested in Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter.  I'd be willing to say that a Discworld movie would undoubtedly appeal to a broader audience than either one of those- despite the fact that those books are far more popular with the 'mainstream' crowd, there are a lot of elements of Pratchett's work that are almost made for cinema.  Come to think of it, it'd be rather interesting to see a film version of 'Moving Pictures'...

Well, the guy who did Ridcully in "Hogfather" was pretty good...It might work, though.

Who would play Gaspode?
