The New Pornographers - Challengers

Ballard:
Who's excited for this? I'm actually considering getting the executive version with all the extra stuff. They're one of those bands that I don't get tired of listening to. At all. I can't count how many times I've listened to all three albums straight through.

Also, I'd like to say that I totally win.

Not me especially. I'm one of those rare "indie" music appreciators who isn't head-over-heels in love with the New Pornographers. I mean, I bought the Electric Version, and sure, it's okay, but . . . ehh.

Hat:
Challengers is really growing on me. I've forbidden myself from listening to it anymore until it comes out though. I wasn't quite sure at first, but the more I listen to it the more I like this new direction, and there are still a few trademark Pornographers hooks in there. Mutiny, I promise is a fantastic song.

SeanBateman:
There are 3 really great songs on this record, and a lot of OK ones.

All The OId Show Stoppers, Challengers, and Myriad HArbor, for the record.

IronOxide:
It's grown on me, I like it more every time I listen to it. It's not quite the same, but it's not necessarily a bad direction for them.
