Yes, watching people die is always fun.

Of course not!

But in that specific instance, yes.

I can tell you that the first photo is a trick of perspective and that rays can jump out of the water but can't fly at all.

BUT the two protrusions on the front of it are knives and it will stab you if you go near the water ever again.

Oh no no no no.

Wiki:
The manta ray (Manta birostris), is the largest of the rays, with the largest known specimen having been more than 7.6 m (about 25 ft) across, with a weight of about 2,300 kg (about 5,000 lb). It ranges throughout tropical waters of the world, typically around coral reefs.

Not a trick at alllllllllllllll. Fuckers are HUGE.

My stepdad is a scuba diver and on his last trip he was out diving with these things, apparently it is really intimidating to swim amongst them, but they are pretty gentle and not really into killing thigns swimming around them. Although because they are so big, getting hit when one of them flaps its fins (wings?) can actually send you flying, one guy had a bruise on his arm from getting hit by one as he was swimming with it.

Pretty sure, since he came back. He just hasn't gone on any trips since then. I mean, they did lose one guy, but you have to give them some sort of sacrifice to be allowed amongst them.

yeah, 'cause dolphins are basically arseholes.

Nah, dolphins are cool.  This one's just messing around anyway.  People seem to forget that dolphins are wild animals because they're cute and smart.  But when you're in the water, you're in their domain.

If you went four-wheeling in Africa, would you blame a rhinoceros for knocking you around a little bit?  He's just having a little fun.

Dolphins will straight up gang rape chick dolphins. Because they like it. it's completely unrelated to reproduction.

dolphins are assholes.

Monkeys, elephants and dolphins are the only ones I know of.

Of course elephants are a weird one, the cases of rape on their part that I know of were male elephants gang raping female rhinos.

Actually a huge amount of animals "rape" each other. I can't remember the name, but this one species of beetle will climb up a tree looking for a mate, fighting other males on the way, pin the female beetle down while he impregnates it, and then throws the female beetle off the tree (probably so no other males will mate with it).

Anyway:

I think the point was that the dolphin does not rape other dolphins to reproduce.  The dolphin rapes other dolphins because it's fun.

Yes, dolphins, like humans, actually get enjoyment out of sex which is a rare trait amongst animals.

The unfortunate consquence of this evolutionary wonder is rape, sadly.
