The Random Question Game

The kind where I don't have to be involved. Or a waltz. At least I can do it. I am not what one would call graceful.
There are two doors in front of you. One door leads to certain death, the other to relative safety. Both doors have a guard (that is, each door has it's own guard). One of the guards always tells the truth, the other always lies. You are only allowed to ask one guard one question before you choose your door. How do you find out which door will lead you to safety?
Darryl, Edith, Oli and possibly Eris are not allowed to answer this one.

You ask either guard which door the other guard would say leads to safety and then you take the other door cause you've insured to include the lie in the answer.

What would you do if your crazy old lady of a neighbour suddenlt barged in to your apartment and started swearing at your husband when the both of you were just sitting there in your skivvies minding your own business and watching tv? (This actually happened to me last night)
