Video Game Music Videos

--- Quote from: Melodic on 07 Jul 2007, 20:26 ---The Resident Evil one was wholly unimpressive, basically taking cinema sequences and blending them to fit the beat of the song, hardly difficult with the plethora cinema sequences littered throughout the game.
The Half-Life 2 version seems to have been a lot more challenging, technically, to create. Dollars to donuts the guy used GMod, but even with it, animating G-Man's mouth to sync with the music would have been an absolute ass. That aside, the scenery clips were probably pretty easy to accomplish, with or without Garry's Mod assisting.
This ain't the music forum, so I won't get into it, but, seriously... Breaking Benjamin and Linkin Park? CAN WE OFFER NO BETTER TO THE GODS OF GAMING?

Oooooookay.
Your point is valid on the difficulty of manipulating code - and yes, it probably would have been harder to do than piecing together the linkin park video - still, something about the breaking the habit video still impresses me more, because the code can't be manipulated or changed. I guess I just view it differently than you do, but that's okay.
As for breaking benjamin and linkin park - nothing wrong with either artist, as far as I can tell.
Meh, whatever.
Melodic:
I suppose I'm too technical to enjoy a simple video anymore. :P
I wasn't trying to contradict you, or state that your opinion was wrong, and I apologize if I came across that way. I was merely trying to compare the two in a plane I can understand, as opposed to personal preference or style, since we all know people vary in their opinions.
The music is, of course, another personal thing, but I was just trying to express my sentiment that I have yet to see a video game-based music video that had music I actually liked. To each his or her own.
Blyss:
:-D
Indeed.

I may have solved your problems.
Blyss:
Oh hell that made me laugh this morning.
Thanks Johnny C.
