The thing is, making them Sony-exclusive makes no real sense for a business standpoint for Square Enix. I mean, nobody is really buying the PS3 in any territory except Europe (which is by far the smallest of the Big Three gaming regions anyway), and people in North America own dramatically more 360s at this point, which is just as big a fanbase for Final Fantasy as Japan, if not more so because there are just so many more people in America and Canada than Japan. Unless Sony finally got their game together and unloaded a really, really big check for Square Enix to keep it exclusive, there's really no reason for them to not make a 360 version. The only reason I think that FFXIII is less likely than MGS4 to go multiplatform is because Konami has already made MGS games for non-Sony platforms (Twin Snakes on Gamecube and Subsistence on the original Xbox). Neither of those series is really a huge deal to me individually. I've never played a Metal Gear game, and although FFXIII looks pretty neat, if it's just the same Final Fantasy gameplay I'm not overwhelmingly interested, especially if I'd have to buy a whole new system for it. If Heavenly Sword, Rachet and Clank, and Uncharted all turn out to be as awesome as the hype machine is spinning them as, then I'll be much more interested in the prospect of buying a PS3.
