PS3 Price Drop All But Confirmed

<< < (9/10) > >>

camelpimp:
Dumb question - are there any PS3 titles (now) worth getting?

Storm Rider:
Resistance: Fall of Man is about the only really good exclusive title available right now. For a 600 dollar machine. To be fair, the PS3 lineup for this holiday (Heavenly Sword, Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, Folklore, Rachet and Clank Future, and Lair are the ones I'm interested in) does look very strong. The fact of the matter is, if they hadn't rolled back this price cut, and the holiday slate turned out as good as it's looking, I probably would have bought a PS3. But now that it's back to 600 dollars and the only extra they've added is another 20 gigs of hard drive space and a pack-in game I don't want, I'm probably not buying one unless the 60 GB model is still available after all these games come out, which sounds very unlikely.

Ozymandias:
Calling Resistance a "really good exclusive" is stretching it a bit.

Storm Rider:
Well, maybe. I haven't played it. That's the only one anybody really cares about, at least. Point being is, Sony's bringing games out now that they should have had when the damn thing launched. The 360's lineup is no slouch this holiday season, but Sony's bringing a bunch of titles to catch up, but you can't help but think that if some of these had been available LAST November, then the situation to this point would be much different.

Ozymandias:
I played a lot of Resistance this last weekend.

It has neat weapons.

The premise is interesting.

It's still pretty bland.
