Damn. That first one hurt my mind's eye as much as Paper Rad.

Pacman created a generation that enjoys listening to repetative techno music, munching pills, and running from ghosts.

If only the put more of an emphasis on the fruit.

So, another entry in the IGF awards recently recieved the demo treatment, Audiosurf.  Take Guitar Hero, Bejeweled, and DDR, and this is what you get.  You pick a song on your hard drive (I think it allows mp3, ogg, m4a, and wma), and it scans it through the engine, and creates a track you travel on.  You collect little colored blobs, and if you get three or more together, you collect points (5 different colors and point values).  There are also powerups that change colors of current pieces, special chameleon blocks, ships that give you special abilities.  At the end of it all, you can opt to upload your points to a regional database and see how well you scored compared to other people who played the same song.  At the moment, it's limited to 3 plays when you first download it and an additional play when it's updated, and it doesn't do songs over 12 minutes long yet (it's still in beta).  But it's a lot of fun.

Syobon Action. It's a mario rip-off in japanese, and the first level is legendary in its unfair difficulty. In many ways, it's funner to watch someone else play than play yourself.
