Ingmar Bergman dead
Inlander:
Scenes From a Marriage is good in that, while it goes for three hours, it's composed of six discreet segments that are each only half an hour long (it was originally made for Swedish T.V.), so if you like you can watch one or two of those at a time if you're not prepared to commit to the whole lot.

Gah! Beat me to it!

--- Quote from: SusurrusIgnoramus on 31 Jul 2007, 06:17 ---i tried really hard to watch and to like the seventh seal, but i just couldn't get through it. and ever since then, i haven't really wanted to watch any of his other stuff. does anyone know of another one of his films that might be a little more accessible to a bergman neophite?

The Virgin Spring.
Kosh:
I think I sort of assumed he was dead already... pity, but he left a huge damn legacy. Sadly I have not watched any of his films but I am planning to (I have read about them and heard people rave on, so I know pretty much what to expect).
He lived a good life to old age and left memorable works. We should all wish to end like that, eh?
