freeware indie games

i don't think anyone brought up this topic before.

since my PS2 is on it's death bed and my PC is a minimum-spec system by today's standards, i've to resort to freewares for my daily dose of gaming. i've always been a sucker for adventure games and titles like 5 days a stranger, ben jordan and missing (to name a few) not only provide fun but also put me in a nostalgic moment, reminiscing about the good old days of monkey island, police/king/space quest and prince of persia. although done in a limited budget, some of these titles are of high quality (e.g. facade, penumbra, a tale of two kingdoms).

does anyone else here share this interest? if so, what games have you played?

CAVEEEEEEEEEEEE STORYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY

Besides that the Independent Gaming Source is a pretty nice little blog about indie gaming. It'll turn you on to alot of games you'd otherwise not know about.

CAve Story is definitely a great game and I'm gonna list a couple of sites. Indie may not be applicaple in all cases, but free defiitely is.

http://www.agdinteractive.com/ - They've remade the first 2 King's Quest games to great success, and are currently alpha testing a remake of Quest for Glory 2. They also have a retail game called "Al Emmo and the Lost Dutchman's Mine" which is a great adventure title.

http://www.agdinteractive.com/ - Abandonware site made of pure win. With a slightly shitty search engine.

johannaffendy:
thanks for the recommendations. (ackblom12, you listed the same link twice ) i'll list some of my favorite sites:
