Kyros:
I saw Ted Leo and the Pharmacists yesterday in Brooklyn. It...was...AMAZING.  The Thermals opened and though I had heard people talk about The Thermals a lot I had never actually heard them before, I was not disappointed.

Ladybug:
I saw local band Sinnssyk Ugle (translation: Insane Owl or something) last week. They're pretty damn awesome, and it's a shame I can't go to their next big concert here, because the one last week was more of a warm-up to that one.

I'm seeing Bob Dylan on Friday, so i'll report on that then...

I saw Dylan a couple years ago with Willie Nelson.  It was good but, you should expect somthing totally different than his records.  His band is a kind of roots-rock thing.  It's really cool but, you have to really pay attention seeing as most of the songs seem almost completely rewritten.

So this was last night. Really great show- but yes you are very right. Most of the songs sounded NOTHING like one would expect, though i managed to pick most of them. He's a restless artist, and you can understand why he wants to play arround with Like A Rolling Stone after playing it for over 40 years. His band was really really damn fine. They played for 2 hours but it really just felt like 20 minutes. They got a well deserved standing ovation at the end and it was a really satisfying night. The Frames opened for him, they were quite boring, and i've already forgotten what they even sounded like. I'm seeing Mono in 2 weeks so i'll update ya'll on that then

Caiphana:
Last show I saw: The Pacific Symphony, on their Spanish night. It was great (especially the tickets were free). Good old Verizon Amphitheater summer concerts! Except, oh, they're tearing it down. To make houses. Bastards.

Beren:
Interpol, probably, with a special ladyfriend. She really enjoys them, and I nabbed tickets for $20 bucks after it had sold out, and she had been crestfallen that she couldn't go. I enjoyed it a good bit, but she really loved it. They're not too bad live, sort of surprisingly.

And to the person who recently saw Tortoise.. oh, oh, how I envy you. They don't seem to be touring any longer.
