They're playing Calgary on November second and I managed to get tickets this morning! w00t, as the kids say.

I missed them last time they played here... hell, I didn't even hear about the show until the day of, and by then it was too late.

So.. who here has seen them live? I don't think I've ever even heard about one of their live shows from any of my friends, so I figured I'd put it out there and see what the general though is. I seem to be in the minority in that I loved We Were Dead Before the Ship Even Sank... anyone seen them on this tour? At $30 a ticket, this better be good.

i just saw them a few months ago and front row too. AMAZING, no matter what you have to do, you must make it to the front row, no matter who you have to blow or kill along the way

They suck now and their new material is boring live and they won't touch any of their classics, Isaac Brock has no energey, there's no real interplay between the musicians, they don't look like they're having fun, and they take an assholely long time to come out for an encore.

I hope you didn't pay too much for the ticket.

Either that or I hope you are stupid and like the new stuff better, cuz at least that way you won't be disappointed.

Within the past year, I've had three opportunities to see them live, and all three times something else has gotten in the way.  :x

Well, think of it this way... this is the first time they've been to my city in three years, and you've had three chances to see them in the past year. How fair is that?

I know. I need to move to a city with a bettr "scene"
